In this blog I sketched out a photo of what the three main characters too me looked like. The book is, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. ( My Sketches Will be posted Later on Today)
Jay Gatsby
1.What physical presence does the character have? Include height, weight, size, physical fitness, posture, etc.
I see Gatsby as a fairly tall man. Skinny and tall with a straight posture. He doesn’t look too old but you can tell he’s in his 30’s.
2. Describe the characters further visual details. Include hair, eyes, face, teeth, scars, tattoos, etc.

2. Describe the characters further visual details. Include hair, eyes, face, teeth, scars, tattoos, etc.
I pictured Gatsby in my head as someone with black short hair, dark brown eyes, and his skin looks kind of pale and very light, his teeth are very white and straight. He would have one scar.
3. What distinguishing items does the character wear? Include clothes, jewelery, shoes, and any other physical item the character keeps with him/her.
I see Gatsby wearing dark colored clothes, because he seems very quiet and independent. What made me think that is the whole point of him being rich and having parties every Saturday night, also living in the west egg, which is defined as like the suburbs, alone.

4. What distinguishing behavior does the character have? Include habits, preferences (music, food, literature, etc.), speech (sayings, stalling words, etc), and demeanor.
I see him as some one who is very wealthy but it doesn’t really show. He doesn’t act high class.

5. What is the characters role in society? Include his/her job, hobbies, and uses of time.
Many people in society know him as the person who has those parties on Saturday night. He is fairly well known in society, but obliviously not too well because at one point in the book it said people come to his party just too come, and they never meet or talk with Gatsby.

6. What is the character's religion or philosophy? What beliefs does he/she hold? How does this create or mitigate internal conflict within his/her psyche?
I didn’t think he had and religion conflicts in the book.
7. What do others in the book say about the character?
I didn’t think he had and religion conflicts in the book.
7. What do others in the book say about the character?
I know that a lot of the other characters see him as a very rich wealthy man. They also might view him as an independent person who is very quiet and sometime secretive, because no one knows how he earns his money or how he got so wealthy.
8. What connections does this character have to history, established religion or the world beyond the book?
He fought in the World War I in 1917.

9. What does the character's name suggest? Authors rarely (if ever) name characters at random. What could the name symbolize? What evidence do you have for this?
I couldn’t find no connection but I researched the word “Gatsby” in Urban Dictionary it was defined as,
“a synonym for cool, swanky, or just generally off the hizzle”
“To be a Great Mystery. Also known as Simonetti. To lie about having wealth.”
10. How does the character develop during the plot? How does he/she change?
I don’t think that the character developed during the plot. I think it was that I saw him differently over the course of reading the book. In the beginning I didn’t picture Gatsby as a person who wore dark clothing, but as I read on I saw a more clearer picture of him in my head.

What physical presence does the character have? Include height, weight, size, physical fitness, posture, etc.
I pictured Daisy as a tall, like 5’7 or 5’8. I’m not to sure about her weight but average.
2. Describe the characters further visual details. Include hair, eyes, face, teeth, scars, tattoos, etc.
She has brown hair and brown eyes. She has white teeth, no tattoos.
What distinguishing items does the character wear? Include clothes, jewelry, shoes, and any other physical item the character keeps with him/her.
She tries to dress nice to impress people, like tom. Because she likes the wealthy lifestyle and that’s all she is after. But I imagine her dressing with skirts and high heels like all the time.
What distinguishing behavior does the character have? Include habits, preferences (music, food, literature, etc.), speech (sayings, stalling words, etc), and demeanor.
Some of her habits would consist of her trying to have an accent. She tries to talk with vocabulary she normally wouldn’t use, but she uses it anyway to impress the wealthy guys. She would change, in front of wealthy people, to some one she isn’t.
5. What is the characters role in society? Include his/her job, hobbies, and uses of time.
In society she would be known as the girl who chases after rich people, and tricks them only to get to the money. She doesn’t really work for her money she lives off of others.
6. What is the character's religion or philosophy? What beliefs does he/she hold? How does this create or mitigate internal conflict within his/her psyche?
She isn’t a very intelligent person and that shows when she meets people, they might see her as a smart person but really when they meet her she isn’t.
